Ambassadors of G20 countries convened at the Union of
Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) in order
to learn about B20 Turkey’s priorities and to exchange views,
hosted by B20 Turkey Chair M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu. In his speech
at the meeting, Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that G20 has shown recently
how effective a platform it is in the case of global economic crises.
Hisarcıklıoğlu said, “We are facing with hitherto unseen problems
in the global economy. We are talking about a time when cash
abundance will come to an end while monetary tightening begins.
Global problems concern us all closely. These global problems
require global solutions. At this junction, it becomes apparent
just how important G20 is.”

followed by social media and cloud
technologies into our lives, we live in
a world where devices are in constant
communication with each other. You
know that your phone, computer or
tablet can connect to each other, but
tomorrow your fridge, glasses, car or
house may be in communication with
each other. Your fridge may list the
number of ingredients you need to
buy according to the number of people
in the home. The house could adjust
the temperature before you get there.
This internet of things which makes
life easier is not without its risks. In
a world where the traditional borders
of businesses are expanding each day,
becoming “limitless”, organizations
of all sized are coming under threat.
Making all of this possible, cloud and
virtualization technologies bring with
them one of the most significant risks
with them: Cyber-attacks and the
precautions which they prompt.
Three factors form the foundation
of cyber security: Being safe, aware and
resolute. Therefore, we must be aware
of threats, institutions must resolute
and a safe environment needs to be
established in order to continue work.
While it is impossible for an institution
to be 100% safe, focusing on these
three factors will decrease the effects
of cyber threats, lowering potential
business damage.
