Economy’s
growing
dynamic
logistics
An important factor for the
success of countries in foreign trade
in an increasingly globalizing globe
is logistics. A country’s geographical
position directly effects its success
in logistics. Turkey, being a country
situated between the Balkans, the
Middle East, the Caucasus and the
Mediterranean Region, successfully
fulfills the role of a transportation
and transit hub. The logistics sector,
with its significant advances in recent
years, has grown by 15-20% in 2013.
Providing employment for 500,000
people along with its subsidiary
sectors, the Turkish logistics sector is
approximately 80 billion. It is projected
that this volume will triple in 2015.
