According to the “2014 Global
Powers of the Retail Sector”
report prepared by Deloitte in
cooperation with Stores Media,
Turkey’s retail sector has grown
by 3.7% in 2013, reaching 311
billion USD. Looking at the sub-
segments of the retail sector in
Turkey it can be seen that growth
in the food sector has slowed
while the market share of sale
retail is rapidly growing. The
report predicts that even if the
non-food retail does not repeat
the growth spurt achieved in the
first half of 2013 in the third
quarter, the fourth quarter will
see a recovery.
