Hisarcıklıoğlu received the Golden
Honor Medal from the Austrian
Federal Economic Chamber
(Wirtschaftskammer Österreich /
WKÖ). The ceremony took place at the
WKÖ Julius Raab Hall during which
Commerce Chambers President DI.
Walter Ruk presented Hisarcıklıoğlu
with the award. Expressing that
the award honors him greatly,
Hisarcıklıoğlu stated that Austria is one
of Turkey’s closest investment partners
and emphasized that TOBB is always in
support of free trade.
Attending the ceremony were
Austrian Chamber President Christoph
Leitl, TOBB Board Vice President Halim
Mete, TOBB Board Treasurer Faik
Yavuz, TOBB Board Members Salih Zeki
Murzioğlu, Şahin Bilgiç, Necdet Özer,

as many business people from both
countries.

Turkey has take over the B20
Executive chairmanship helm and is
preparing to stamp Turkey into the global
headlines. Stating that Turkey must turn
the 2015 G20 Summit into opportunity,
TOBB President and B20 Turkey Executive
Council President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu
said, “If properly made use of it, we will
have the chance to resolve the global
issues adversely effecting us.”
