Giving the opening speech
of the Global Summit of
Partners for a New Beginning
(PNB) hosted by TOBB in
İstanbul, TOBB and PNB
Turkey President M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu, emphasizing that
Turkey is the transformative
power of its region, said, “We
want to develop our relations
with entrepreneurs from PNB
member countries. In this
regard, we also want to become
the center of enterprise as well.”
The Global Summit of Partners for a New Beginning (PNB),
initiated by US Former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright
and spearheaded in Turkey by TOBB, took place in İstanbul
on the 23
rd
and 24
th
of November, 2013. Hosted by TOBB
President M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, the Summit was attended by
over 150 entrepreneurs from 14 countries.
Attending the Summit were Deputy Prime Minister
Ali Babacan, TOBB and PNB Turkey President M. Rifat
Hisarcıklıoğlu, US Former Secretary of State and current
PNB President Madeleine Albright, US State Ministry Global
Partnerships Special Representative Andrew O’Brien while US
Secretary of State John Kerry via video-link. Also attending
the Summit was the US Ambassador Francis J. Ricciardone
along with entrepreneurs from Turkey, USA, Algeria, Morocco,
Tunisia, Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Palestine, Mauritania, Libya,
Israel, Saudi Arabia and Greece.
