into a city brand. Cappadocia and Nevşehir became
household names inmany countries around the wor-
ld. As a result of the development of air travel capabi-
lities, increase in the number of foreign visitors to the
region, and the successful works performed by the
Chamber, Commodity Exchange, Municipality and
Governor’s Office, Nevşehir has become one of the
most favorite cities not only inTurkey but in theworld.
M. Arif Parmaksız, Chairman of Nevşehir Chamber
of Commerce and Industry, says that although the
region enjoys numerous significant advantages, it
suffers many defects as well.
İbrahim Salaş, Chairman of Nevşehir Commodity
Exchange, says,“Our infrastructure is ready tomake us
a city brand, our highways are connected with main
arteries, we have an airport. The only thingwe lack is a
railroad, but we took some steps in that direction too.”

xecutives of some international
corporations operating in Turkey
came together upon invitation by the
Union of Chambers of Commodity Exc-
hanges of Turkey (TOBB).
At the High Level Economic Dialogue
meeting, held under the auspices of H.E.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Pre-
sidential Complex, were present TOBB Cha-
irman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu, International
Investors Association (YASED) Chairman
Ahmet Erdem, Türk-İş Chairman Ergün Ata-
lay, Hak-İş Chairman Mahmut Arslan, as well
as representatives of TİSK, TZOB and of inter-
national investors operating in Turkey. TOBB
Chairman M. Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu read out a
joint statement, saying,“We will continue to
invest in the future of Turkey.”TOBB Chairman
Rifat Hisarcıklıoğlu also said, “We know that
those who invest in the future of Turkey will
profit beyond their expectations, because
we did so yesterday and have profited today.”
